Rosemont College is pleased to welcome all students, faculty, and staff to the start of the Fall 2025 semester. A special welcome back goes out to our returning Ravens, and a warm greeting to the newest members of our community. Campus is once again filled with life, energy, and excitement as we begin a new academic year together.
Throughout the summer, staff and faculty prepared for your return. One highlight of their work is the Patrick Herman Memorial Community Garden, a new space on campus honoring our late mailroom coordinator. Pat was known for his kindness and his love of gardening. Staff volunteers cared for the garden over the summer. Now, students are invited to carry on his legacy by caring for this space.
Mission in Focus for 2025 – 2026
Each year, Rosemont College reflects on a specific part of its mission. For the 2025 to 2026 academic year, the focus is:
“Rosemont College is a community of lifelong learners dedicated to academic excellence and fostering joy in the pursuit of knowledge.”
This theme will guide campus programs, class discussions, and community events. Moreover, it reminds us why we gather here to learn with passion and grow together.
What to Expect Following the Merger Announcement
Understandably, some community members may still have questions following the spring announcement of Rosemont’s future merger with Villanova. However, it is important to know that Rosemont will continue to operate independently through the 2027 to 2028 academic year. Therefore, your experience here will remain rooted in the values, academic strength, and sense of belonging that define Rosemont. Furthermore, your presence helps shape this important chapter in our history.
Upcoming Events
Looking ahead, we invite students and families to our annual Oktoberfest and Family Weekend celebration. It will take place on Saturday, October 4. This event includes food, games, music, athletic events, and vendor tables. Everyone is encouraged to attend and enjoy the day together.
