Rosemont College is excited to announce an extraordinary study abroad opportunity: a transformative Vienna Trip taking place in December 2026. Aligned with the course SOC/ARH-322 Church, Power, and Society, this immersive experience invites students to explore Vienna’s political and social history through the lens of art, architecture, and culture.
What Makes the Vienna Trip Special
Students will visit some of Europe’s most celebrated cultural institutions and historic sites. Highlights include the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Belvedere Palace, Albertina Museum, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Schönbrunn Palace, the Vienna Secession Museum, and the Hofburg complex. Additionally, the itinerary features meaningful excursions to Melk Abbey and Salzburg, along with a reflective stop at the Mauthausen Memorial.
Throughout the journey, students will engage with art, music, architecture, and social history in ways that bring classroom learning to life. The program encourages original student research conducted on historic grounds, creating a deeply personal and academic experience.
Building on Rosemont’s Study Abroad Tradition
Rosemont has a strong tradition of offering meaningful international opportunities. In the past, students have participated in enriching study abroad experiences in Ireland and, most recently, Spain. The upcoming Vienna study abroad trip provides another carefully designed, faculty led program that combines academic rigor with cultural immersion.
