Rosemont welcomes Karen McElroy O’Donnell as Vice President of Institutional Advancement effective Monday, October 10, 2022. Karen will oversee our Office of Institutional Advancement’s fundraising and stewardship relationship initiatives.
An accomplished fundraising and community relationship leader, Karen brings more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit management to Rosemont. She has a demonstrated record of success in annual and major gifts; special events; and corporate, foundation, and government relations.
As Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Karen will lead all engagement with the College’s internal and external constituents: overseeing development, alumni relations, non-credit programs, community relations, and government relations. She will also serve as liaison to the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees.
“With a strong background at educational institutions, Karen shares my enthusiasm for Rosemont’s mission, values, and goals,” said Jim Cawley, Interim President of Rosemont College.

Karen comes to Rosemont from the College of New Jersey in Ewing, NJ, where she has served as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations since 2018. She held the role of Interim Vice President, Foundation, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA, from 2012-2018 and Director of Advancement at Villa Maria Academy in Ewing, NJ, from 2008-2011. Karen is also a member of the Board of Directors for Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Fairless Hills, PA.
Of joining the Rosemont community, Karen said, “I am honored and humbled to serve the Rosemont community in this role. I look forward to working with an exceptional team as well as engaging with Rosemont alumni and friends to carry out the mission and vision of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.”
