Rosemont College is pleased to offer a series of SASC Citations Workshops this fall to help students improve their academic writing and research skills. These sessions are open to all students and will take place in the Raven’s Nest on select Thursdays at 11:00am.
Whether you are new to academic writing or simply want to strengthen your citation skills, these workshops are designed to support you at every step.
What to Expect from the Workshops
Each session focuses on a specific citation style widely used in college coursework. Faculty members will guide students through real examples, explain key formatting rules, and answer questions. In addition, you will receive helpful tips on avoiding plagiarism and organizing your sources correctly.
The workshops are interactive and beginner friendly. You do not need to bring anything but your curiosity and a desire to learn.

APA Formatting Workshop

This session will focus on APA style, often used in psychology, education, and the social sciences. You will learn how to format in text citations and reference lists accurately.
MLA Format Workshop: Crafting the Writers of Tomorrow

Next, explore the MLA format, commonly used in literature and the humanities. This workshop will help you build strong documentation habits and present your work with confidence.
Chicago Citations Workshop
- Where: Raven’s Nest
- When: Thursday, October 2, 11:00am
Finally, the Chicago session will cover footnotes and bibliography style, which is popular in history and fine arts courses. You will learn how to cite both print and digital sources using Chicago guidelines.
