Rosemont College kicked off its Battle of the Building series with a vibrant and action filled event, the Tie Dye War. This colorful competition brought students from Mayfield Hall and Heffernan Hall together for an afternoon of fun, teamwork, and friendly rivalry.
To start, each building was assigned a team color. Mayfield wore blue, while Heffernan represented orange. Students arrived ready to compete, filling the field with energy and school spirit. As the dye began to fly, the crowd quickly grew louder, cheering for their teammates and enjoying the excitement.
At first, Heffernan took the lead. More orange dye was seen on Mayfield’s shirts, and the Heffernan team moved with strong coordination. However, as the match continued, the momentum shifted. Mayfield made several accurate throws, allowing them to close the gap and eventually take control of the game.
By the end, both teams had shown impressive effort and enthusiasm. After reviewing the results, Residence Life judges declared Mayfield the winner. As a result, Mayfield earned the first point in the ongoing Battle of the Building series.
Furthermore, Mayfield will receive a custom plaque to recognize their victory. This medal will hang proudly in the lobby of their residence hall, reminding everyone of their successful comeback.
A Celebration of Community and Connection
More than just a game, the Tie Dye War encouraged connection, laughter, and school pride. It gave students a chance to bond with their peers and take part in a growing Rosemont tradition.
