Rosemont College Business Students Attend Fintech Conference
Rosemont College finance students had the chance to attend the Eighth Annual Fintech Conference. The event, hosted virtually by the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank, attracted experts, regulators, and professionals from across the globe to discuss the latest trends in finance.
Professor Hagedorn’s finance students participated in the conference. “I gained valuable insights into several topics,” said Liam O’Rourke, Class of 2025. “I learned about the future of bitcoin, innovations in payments, and the future of open banking. It was inspiring, and I am looking forward to next year.”
The conference was co-organized by the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, the University of Cambridge, and the Brookings Institution. These institutions brought together Fintech professionals, researchers, and experts to address important issues in the field.
Key topics included real world asset tokenization, tokenized deposits, and banking as a service. Panelists also discussed the growing role of Fintech in shaping the future of finance. These discussions focused on how Fintech innovations impact the financial world and the necessary regulatory responses.
