November Student of the Month Pearl Smith
Student of the Month: Pearl Smith
Congratulations to Pearl Smith, November’s Student of the Month. Pearl serves as cocaptain of the women’s volleyball team and vice president of Rosegrow. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership by organizing community service projects and presenting her cultural heritage research at Oktoberfest. Pearl’s enthusiasm and commitment to campus life embody the true spirit of Rosemont.
Thanksgiving Break Information
Residence halls will close on Friday, November 21 at 5:00pm and reopen on Sunday, November 30 at 12:00pm. Checkout forms will appear on doors beginning November 12. Students should complete them with their roommates before leaving.
Dining services will serve the last meal before the holiday on November 21 (lunch until 2:00pm) and resume with dinner on November 30. For questions, please email [email protected].
Rosemont Launches Collaborative Training with Villanova University
Rosemont College recently began its first Resident Assistant and Resident Director professional development series in partnership with Villanova University’s Student Affairs Department. Guest facilitators Sydney Scheiner and John Delaney led an interactive and inspiring session focused on leadership, communication, and conflict management. View the images of the training below.
Nine RAs and RDs participated in this training. Their feedback was outstanding:
- 100 percent found the training valuable to their professional development.
- 100 percent felt confident applying what they learned.
- 100 percent agreed that the content aligned with department goals.
- 100 percent would recommend future sessions.
Participants also gained new transferable skills, including effective communication and strategies for navigating student conduct situations. These abilities will enhance their resumes and professional profiles. Rosemont appreciates this collaboration and looks forward to more joint training opportunities with Villanova University.
Professional Attire Program
Rosemont continues to offer professional clothing for students preparing for interviews and presentations. More than fifteen students have already benefited from this service. Visit the ResLife area of the Community Center to choose professional attire and prepare for your next career opportunity.

Mayfield Hall Door Decorating Contest Winners
Congratulations to Mara Kudla, winner of the Mayfield Hall Door Decorating Contest. Organized by RA Maya Lonjuin, the contest brought creativity and energy to the residence hall. The winning floor earned access to the foosball table for the rest of the semester.
Rosemont thanks all participating rooms for their spirit and effort, including Carson Pence and Deuce Denmark, Riley Dunn, Chara Franklin, Barbara Feiler, Alona Stanley, Evian Marshall, Danajiah Wise, Jessica Krwawicz, and Francesca Maile.
