Rosemont College is excited to welcome Skylark Circus Arts for a captivating performance on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 7:00pm. This cabaret style show invites audiences on an imaginative journey from the moon, through the tides, and into an inspirational landscape filled with mysterious and unusual creatures.
Blending spoken word with circus artistry, Skylark Circus Arts offers an evening of wonder, movement, and storytelling that promises to engage the senses and spark reflection.
A Dreamlike Circus Experience
The performance from Skylark Circus Arts intertwines spoken word with dynamic circus acts, including fire dancers, object manipulation, and aerial performance. The result is a theatrical experience that feels both intimate and expansive; part cabaret, part living story.
Created by Skylark Artistic Director and Adjunct Professor Autumn Cornell, this story is described as a journey through a dream you may have had, the show explores the feeling of falling softly out of the familiar and into uncharted waters. It speaks to moments of being lost, the courage found in deeper experience, and the quiet guidance that helps us float onward. With imagery of the moon, the sea, song, desire, and the soul’s fire, the narrative creates a poetic frame for breathtaking physical performance.
Artistry Beyond the Ordinary
What makes Skylark Circus Arts especially compelling is its fusion of disciplines. Aerial work, fire dancing, and object manipulation are woven together with language and atmosphere, inviting the audience not only to watch but to feel part of an unfolding dreamscape. Moreover, the cabaret style keeps the evening dynamic and accessible, offering variety while sustaining a cohesive emotional arc.
For students, faculty, staff, and community members, this is a rare chance to experience professional circus arts in a campus connected setting.
