Rosemont College is pleased to announce the appointment of Ross Trachtenberg as the new Director of Athletics. He will succeed Kathleen DeLitta and lead the department during a significant period of transition for Rosemont Athletics. Trachtenberg has been an active member of the Rosemont community since 2020 and brings a wealth of experience to this leadership role.
He joined Rosemont in the fall of 2020 to launch the Collegeās Menās Baseball program. Since then, he has served as Head Coach for the entire history of the team. In addition to coaching, he has contributed as the business coordinator for the department and as an adjunct faculty member. He teaches courses in Sport Management and Accounting and advises undergraduate Sport Management majors.
Trachtenberg earned his bachelorās degree in Accounting from Lehigh University. He later completed a masterās degree in Sport Management at Drexel University. He is currently finishing his Master of Business Administration at Rosemont and is expected to graduate in August 2025.
Reflecting on his new role, Ross Trachtenberg said, āI want to thank President Jim Cawley for having the faith in me to take on this significant role at Rosemont during this time of transition. Athletics is a central part of so many of our studentsā experience at Rosemont and I am honored to help guide them and our Athletics Staff through this last year of Rosemont Athletics as a NCAA program.ā
With this appointment, Rosemont reaffirms its commitment to student success, academic growth, and a strong athletic experience. The College looks forward to the leadership and energy Ross Trachtenberg will bring to this new chapter.
