Rosemont College is proud to announce its next Blood Drive, presented in partnership with the American Red Cross. Sponsored by Student Engagement, this important event will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, in the Community Room of the Hirsh Community Center.
The Blood Drive runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm and is open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the surrounding community. This is a chance to support a vital cause, make a direct impact in the lives of patients across the country and receive a $10 Amazon gift card.
Why Your Blood Donation Matters
According to the American Red Cross, about 38 percent of Americans are eligible to donate blood. However, less than 10 percent actually donate each year. A single donation can save up to three lives.
If you are healthy and eligible, we encourage you to schedule an appointment and donate. The process usually takes about one hour. Trained Red Cross staff will guide you through every step. They are ready to answer questions and ensure you are comfortable.

Not Sure if You Are Eligible?
If you are unsure about your eligibility, we encourage you to stop by the event. Every student that attempts to donate will receive a $10 Amazon gift card even if it is determined you are not eligible. The Red Cross team will assess your situation and help you understand your options. Many people who think they cannot donate often discover that they are actually eligible.
Volunteers Needed
Even if you cannot donate blood, you can still support the event. Volunteers are needed to welcome guests, assist with check in, and distribute snacks to donors. Every helping hand plays a part in this important mission.
By participating in the Blood Drive, you become part of a larger effort to support those in need. It is a meaningful way to live out the values of compassion and service that define Rosemont College.
