WILLIAMSPORT – Three weeks and one tournament before the Colonial States Athletic Conference championship tournament, Rosemont’s men’s golf team is rounding into form at the exact right time.
The Ravens took home both the top team and individual titles on Sunday in the final round of the Susquehanna Spring Invitational. The Ravens team took the top overall spot, shooting a 303 for the second straight day to take the top honors by downing Lebanon Valley College by seven shots.
In addition, Michael Lange won his second consecutive individual title when he edged out teammate Hunter Mickatavage– competing this weekend as an individual- with a final round 73 and then winning the first playoff hole between the two sides. It is Lange’s third individual title this season, joining last week’s win at the McDaniel Invitational and a first place finish at the Gatorade Championship back on Labor Day weekend.
MIckatavage’s second place showing was the best of the year as well. Paul Fedele shot a 75 for a second straight day while Stephen Vye (76) and Nathan Moore (79) also broke 80 on the day.
Rosemont will host its own tournament next weekend in the final tuneup before the Easter break and the CSAC Championships that could send the Ravens to a second straight NCAA Tournament.
