ALLENTOWN – Julie Capece and Chase Leonard continued their torrid finish to the Colonial States Athletic Conference season, winning their ninth straight singles matches on Tuesday during Rosemont’s 5-4 victory over Cedar Crest in Allentown.
The Ravens finished the regular season at 7-5. The win also set a high water mark for the Ravens, who had won six matches in a season three times since 2006, which marked the end of the highly successful tenure of Joe Kessel, who went 28-9 from 1999-2005.
The Ravens finished the regular season in a three-way tie with Cedar Crest and Cairn. Cairn will take the tiebreaker and be the top seed in the CSAC Tournament on Saturday at the Legacy Tennis Complex in Philadelphia. The match on Saturday will be the second one of the morning and is scheduled to start somewhere around 11:30 a.m.
