Rosemont College Business Students Invited to Exclusive Pregame Events at Citizens Bank Park
The Philadelphia Phillies proudly announced the return of their popular #CollegeSeries for the 2024 season. This event provided Rosemont College Sport Management students and others the chance to go behind the scenes in the business of baseball. Sponsored by Temple University’s Fox School of Business, these pregame events offered a rare opportunity to engage with Phillies executives and industry leaders, gaining valuable insights into the sports business.
The 2024 #CollegeSeries took place at Citizens Bank Park. The event allowed students, recent graduates, professors, and parents to see the inner workings of Major League Baseball. Attendees participated in a moderated question and answer session with top Phillies executives and special guests. Panel discussions covered various aspects of the sports industry. It was a unique chance for everyone to learn directly from professionals in the field.
One highlight of the event was the Networking Hour. During this time, Rosemont College Business students connected with Phillies executives and key figures from the organization. The informal session allowed participants to practice networking skills and gain advice about internship opportunities. Attendees also had the chance to meet members of the Phillies Ballgirls program, further expanding their professional networks.
Special guests for the event included Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson, both stars from the 1993 National League Champions. They were available for photos and personal interactions, providing a memorable experience for all attendees.
