Derek Kephart is an adjunct professor in the Homeland Security program. Adjunct Professor Kephart has over 27 years of experience in city policing. He has led teams through challenging situations. He currently serves as the Chief Inspector in the Philadelphia Police Department, and as the Commanding Officer of the Office of Professional Responsibility Bureau. His leadership and experience add great value to the online masters in homeland security program at Rosemont.

Kephart’s journey with Rosemont began in 2020 when he enrolled as a student. He excelled in his courses, impressing faculty and peers alike. After completing his graduate degree, Kephart was invited to join the faculty as an adjunct professor.
