All Campus Read for the 2018-2019 academic year at Rosemont College is Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age by Sherry Turkle.

Sherry Turkle has spent the last 30 years studying the psychology of people's relationships with technology. A licensed clinical psychologist, she is the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and founder and director of the MIT Initiative on Technology and Self. Turkle is the author of five books and three edited collections, including a trilogy of three landmark studies on our relationship with digital culture: The Second Self, Life on the Screen, and most recently, Alone Together. A recipient of a Guggenheim and Rockefeller Humanities Fellowship and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, she is a featured media commentator and expert on culture and therapy, mobile technology, social networking, and sociable robotics.

Rosemont College Announces Test Optional Admissions Policy

Rosemont College has announced a new admissions policy: test optional. Now in effect, students applying to Rosemont College for admission in the fall of 2019 who have a weighted, cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) or higher will have the choice to submit their SAT/ACT scores or not as part of the new policy - called ROCO Option.

Patricia M. Nugent Gallery at Rosemont College Presents Radiant Exuberance: Paintings by James Caplan

The Patricia M. Nugent Gallery is pleased to announce a new exhibit featuring the paintings of Bryn Mawr-based artist James Caplan. The show, titled Radiant Exuberance, will be open to the public from October 4 through November 1, 2018. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, October 4 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with an informal gallery talk at 4:30 p.m.

Rosemont College Renames and Dedicates Art Gallery in Honor of Long-time Professor Pat Nugent

In recognition of Professor Pat Nugent's 25 years as Director of the College's Gallery and her five decades of teaching, Rosemont College renamed the art gallery The Patricia M. Nugent Gallery at a dedication event and reception on Saturday, September 8th. The event also marked the opening of Professor Nugent's retrospective exhibit, which will be on display through September 30th.
