Each month, the Society of the Holy Child Jesus shares a thoughtful video meditation designed to strengthen the Holy Child community of prayer. These reflections invite us to pause, listen, and grow closer to Christ in the midst of ordinary life.
This month’s SHCJ Monthly Meditation centers on a simple yet profound question: What in my everyday surroundings is Christ inviting me to notice today?
This meditation encourages us to respond to Jesus’ invitation to “remain in me.” In a world that often prioritizes constant activity, this message offers a gentle reminder that our mission is sustained not by our own efforts alone, but by remaining rooted in Christ’s love.
A Call to Notice & Belong
The SHCJ Monthly Meditation for August invites viewers to slow down and become more attentive to the presence of Christ in daily surroundings. Whether in a quiet moment, a conversation, or the simple rhythms of the day, Christ continually invites us to notice and respond.
As the meditation beautifully expresses: “The more deeply we remain in Christ, the more fully we become present to one another. Before we are called to do, we are called to belong. We are beloved before we are busy.”
Let Christ renew us throughout the month, grounding our actions in love rather than pressure or performance.
Taking Time to Reflect
We encourage our community to set aside a few quiet minutes to reflect on these questions:

- How might remaining more consciously in Christ’s love shape the way I approach my work, relationships, and responsibilities?
- Where do I need renewal and deeper belonging right now?
