Rosemont College proudly announces the second Mock Trial of the fall semester, āMarriedā¦ with Lawsuits.ā This exciting academic event takes place on Friday, October 31, from 2:00pm to 2:50pm in the Community Center, Room 219. The presentation features students from the Legal Environment of Business course, who demonstrate their understanding of legal principles through an interactive courtroom simulation.
The Case: Marriedā¦ with Lawsuits
Students serve in every courtroom role, including plaintiffs, defendants, attorneys, bailiff, and jurors. This structure allows them to experience the energy and challenge of a real trial while developing essential communication and problem solving skills.
The Honorable Robert J. Votta, PhD, presides over the proceedings. His professional insight and academic expertise guide students as they present evidence, question witnesses, and argue their positions before the court.
Hands On Learning in the Legal Environment
The Mock Trial is a featured project in BUS 0320: Legal Environment of Business, taught by Professor Henderson. This course helps students understand the role of law in the business world. Through the trial, participants explore how legal reasoning supports ethical and informed decision making in professional contexts.
