Discover the Power of Small Forms
The Micro Poetry and Prose workshop encourages writers to find beauty and meaning through concise expression. Inspired by the envelope poetry of Emily Dickinson and the fragments of Sappho, this session will explore how short works can convey depth and emotion. Participants will read sample pieces, discuss craft and structure, and take part in generative writing exercises that inspire creative exploration.
T. Nicole Cirone, an accomplished writer and teacher, will guide the session. She will share insights on how to shape language with precision and emotion. Her approach helps writers develop authentic voices and create memorable works within minimal space.
A Creative & Supportive Experience
This non credited course welcomes writers of all experience levels. The atmosphere encourages openness, experimentation, and community. At the end of the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to share their creations with the group. This sharing experience builds confidence and fosters meaningful connections among writers.
The Small Fabric: Micro Poetry and Prose workshop reflects Rosemont College’s dedication to nurturing creative voices through its Writer’s Studio. Participants will leave with new techniques, fresh inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the art of brevity. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Join Rosemont College on December 6th for a day of discovery, creativity, and connection.
