Join us for a special screening of the award winning documentary How Saba Kept Singing on Monday, March 24. This moving film shares the incredible story of David “Saba” Wisnia, a Holocaust survivor who believed his musical talents kept him alive in Auschwitz. Through a journey with his grandson, Avi, he uncovers a hidden truth about his survival.
Following the film, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Avi Wisnia, offering deeper insights into his grandfather’s remarkable story. This event is free and open to the public.

About the Film
Directed by Sara Taksler and produced by Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton (under HiddenLight Productions), How Saba Kept Singing has received widespread acclaim, earning an Emmy nomination and premiering on PBS. The film takes viewers on an emotional journey as David Wisnia and Avi travel to Poland for a Holocaust Commemoration Concert. Along the way, they uncover an astonishing secret about the people who played a role in David’s survival.
Through powerful storytelling, archival footage, and deeply personal reflections, the documentary highlights themes of resilience, memory, and the profound impact of music. It also explores the lasting effects of trauma across generations and the importance of uncovering and preserving history.
