Fall Move In at Rosemont College is always a special time of year, and this year’s was no exception. On Sunday, Residence Life staff and campus partners welcomed students and families back to campus.
This year’s Fall Move In reinforced the notion that even as the community changes, our commitment to students remains steady and intentional.
Preparing to Welcome Students Home
In the days leading up to Move In, the Residence Life team focused on more than logistics. Through training, team-building activities, scenario-based learning, and conversations about leadership and responsibility, Resident Assistants and Resident Directors prepared to be fully present for students. Discussions centered on expectations, real-life situations they may encounter, and the understanding that leadership is demonstrated through actions rather than titles.
As Dr. Yolanda Alovor, Vice President of Student Affairs, shared:
“The size of our community does not determine the strength of it. What matters is how intentionally we show up for one another.”

Fall Move In is more than a day of unpacking boxes. It is the beginning of a new chapter. Whether students are returning or continuing their path at Rosemont, the Residence Life team remains committed to fostering a community where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
