Campus Community Unites for Earth Day 2025 Celebration and Action
Today, the campus proudly celebrates Earth Day 2025, inviting all students, faculty, and staff to take part in a full day of environmental activities. This annual event honors the natural world and encourages everyone to contribute to a more sustainable future.
The day begins with a special project: the creation of Patrick Herman’s Memorial Garden. Volunteers will gather in the morning to help prepare the space. Please bring a shovel if you have one, and dress appropriately for outdoor work. This effort offers a meaningful way to connect with nature and honor a valued member of our community.
Following the garden project, participants are invited to enjoy a picnic lunch on the green. Bring your own meal and relax with others who share a passion for the planet. This casual gathering allows time to reflect and recharge before the afternoon events.
At midday, the Sophomore Class Tree Planting Ceremony will take place. This long-standing tradition gives students the chance to make a lasting impact on campus. Each tree planted stands as a symbol of growth and responsibility.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees can explore additional events focused on sustainability and environmental education. These include interactive workshops, student-led activities, and informational booths with practical tips for green living. The full schedule is available on the Earth Day flyer posted online and in student centers.
Earth Day 2025 offers more than a moment to celebrate. It is a call to action. Every activity today supports a cleaner, healthier planet and brings the community closer together.
Take part in this important day. From planting trees to learning about sustainable practices, your involvement matters. Let us celebrate Earth Day 2025 by making a real difference—together.
