DOWNINGTOWN – Jordan Cook showed his strength as a player.
Rosemont’s golf team showed its strength as a unit.
And with two weeks until a chance for a return trip to the NCAA Tournament, both showed why it is a case of strength in numbers for the Ravens, who took home third place out of a 18 team field at the Rosemont Ravens Invitational on Sunday at Downingtown Country Club.
Cook- a junior from Temaluca, California- took home a sixth place individual showing with his final round 72, which left him at +3 for the tournament as a player. It is his low round of the season and one of the best rounds by any Raven this season.
He wasn’t the only one who had a strong tournament. Michael Lange bounced back from his first round 77 to shoot a one-over 73 to shoot +6 on the tournament for an 11th place tie. Stephen Vye finished at +9 overall to finish tied for 16th. Paul Fedele‘s 75 on Sunday helped him post a +10 and a tie for 19th. Nathan Moore was at +12 to finished tie for +26. Quentin Davis – competing as an individual- shot a 75 on Sunday to rally for a tie for 36th. The same holds for Hunter Mickatavage, who ended up +17.
The team title was taken by Gettysburg, who finished with a +8 584 as a team to win the individual crown by 19 shots over Franklin and Marshall. (Rosemont was third at a 608 which is 32-over-par.)
