Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month. Campus Ministry will feature a slide on the tv screen in the lobby of the Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center each week this month. Explore more in the Cultural Heritage Gallery.
This week, we honor Patsy T. Mink: Attorney and politician born in Paia, Hawaii; First Asian-American to serve in Congress; Represented Hawaii in US Congress; Served in Congress for 24 years; Campion of Civil Rights legislation and Title IX.
Coffee & Careers Pop Up Event
Rosemont College is excited to share Coffee & Careers, a Pop Up Event, Monday, March 16, 2026 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. This special event offers students a relaxed setting to explore career resources and receive helpful feedback. Students can stop by, grab a cup of coffee, and connect with career professionals.
The Coffee & Careers Event creates a welcoming environment where students can ask questions and receive guidance about their career goals. Representatives from the Villanova University and Rosemont College Career Center teams will be available throughout the event.
Senior Formal Photos
Rosemont College proudly invites graduating students to take part in the official 2026 Senior Photos sessions Monday & Tuesday, March 16th & 17th. The Senior Portraits sessions will take place on campus in the Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center. Students can easily select a time that accommodates their schedule.
Faculty & Staff Open Forum on Wellness & Self Care
The Center for Teaching & Learning and the Counseling Center are hosting a Faculty & Staff Open Forum on Wellness & Self Care for faculty & staff on Tuesday, March 17th at 12:00pm in the Board Room of the Hirsh Community Center. The RSVP deadline has been extended through Monday March 16th, 8:00pm so more can join!

Campus Ministry Updates
From weekly features honoring Women’s History Month in the Community Center to an inspiring display celebrating five women of God in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception through March 31, 2026, there is much happening in Campus Ministry. LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week
LGBTQ+ Health Awareness Week 2026 is March 16–20th. Stop by the Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center and visit the Student Engagement table to learn more about health in the LGBTQ+ community on March 18th between 11am–1pm. Cultural Heritage Gallery Spring Events
We invite you to review and attend our engaging schedule of CHG Spring Events continuing through May 1, 2026. This week the Cultural Heritage Gallery acknowledges LGBTQ+ Health Aweness Week March 16-20th, St. Patrick’s Day March 17th, and Eid al-Fitr March 19-20th. A Place to be Seen, Heard & Supported
The Counseling Center is “A Place to be Seen, Heard, and Supported, is open Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm. In honor of Wellness Wednesday, we share a weekly reflection with practical tools to support wellbeing and personal growth.
Sam Keller leads this initiative with support from the Counseling Center team, including Thomas DeGeorge, PhD, LPC, and Robert Pina, LPC. Together, they bring clinical expertise and a strong commitment to student care. Explore the March 18th issue featuring Seasonal Shift.

Annual Seder & Gathering
Campus Ministry invites alumnae, students, and friends of the community to attend a meaningful and welcoming Seder on March 18, 2026, at 5:00pm. This signature tradition that reflects faith, learning, and shared values. It also offers a space for reflection, remembrance, and connection across generations.
Pool Tournament (Refreshments Included)
Student Engagement invites students to take part in a Pool Tournament on March 19, 2026, at 5:30pm in Alumnae Hall. This exciting campus event offers students a chance to showcase their skills, connect with peers, and enjoy a night of friendly competition.

2026 Patrick Herman Garden Opening Ceremony
Rosemont College will hold the 2026 Opening Ceremony of the Patrick Herman Memorial Garden on March 20, 2026, at 12:00pm. The community will first gather outside the Community Center mailroom for the traditional walking of the bike to the garden.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends are invited to come together in community, rememberance and reflection. The ceremony marks the official reopening of the garden for the spring season.
Character & Conflict Masterclass (Lunch Served)
Craft characters readers will root for and conflicts that keep pages turning in Character and Conflict, a hands on masterclass led by acclaimed fiction writer and instructor Jodi Monster on Saturday, March 21, 2026, 10:00am – 3:00pm (lunch included). Uncover deep motivations, build authentic internal/external tension through guided exercises, and transform your storytelling. Bryce Simon Named February Student of the Month!
Rosemont College proudly recognizes Bryce Simon as the February Student of the Month. This honor celebrates his dedication, leadership, and strong commitment to academic success. The Rosemont community is honored to recognize Bryce for his hard work and positive impact on campus.
Alumni Tribute: Violet Francis O’Malley
Rosemont College honors the life and legacy of alumna Violet Frances O’Malley. A devoted mother, grandmother, and proud graduate, Violet lived a life marked by faith, family, and curiosity.
Violet Frances O’Malley passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026 at the age of eighty six. She lived in Annapolis, Maryland for thirty years. Earlier in her life, she lived in Laurel, Maryland.
Apply for Residential Leadership Positions 2026 – 2027
Rosemont College announces that applications for Residential Leadership Positions for the 2026 – 2027 academic year are now open. These important student leadership roles help shape the residential experience on campus. Students who want to make a positive impact in the community are encouraged to apply.
Applications will remain open until March 30, 2026 at 8:00pm. Interested students should review the position details and submit their materials before the deadline.
New Director of Public Safety: Jenny Felton
A new leader is joining Rosemont’s Public Safety team. Retired Philadelphia Police Department officer and Rosemont Criminal Justice student Jenny Felton begins her role as Director of Public Safety on March 16, 2026, bringing experience, leadership, and a commitment to campus safety.

Cultural Heritage Gallery: Rosemont's Irish History
Rosemont College proudly announces two engaging presentations that highlight the rich Irish History woven into the fabric of Rosemont College. On March 25, 2026, the Cultural Heritage Gallery will present two dynamic programs exploring the people, traditions, and Irish stories that have shaped Rosemont College history.
All Bones Considered: 52 Laurel Hill Women begins at 3:30pm in Main Building. Between presentations, guests will enjoy food, beverages and Irish music. The afternoon will continue with The Hooves on the Hill: Irish Equestrian Heritage, a presentation highlighting the Sinnott family, the Rosemont Equestrian Club, the McShains, and the College's storied architecture and buildings.

Elevate your personal stories into literary art in Memoir as Literary Nonfiction, a transformative Masterclass led by Rosemont MFA alum and award winning memoirist Tracy Kauffman Wood on Saturday, April 11, 2026, 10:00am – 3:00pm (lunch included). Rosemont College continues to feature the photography exhibit by interdisciplinary artist Mark Campbell. The exhibition is on display in the Patricia Nugent Gallery through April 13th.
Campus Philly Career Event
Rosemont College encourages students to attend an upcoming Campus Philly Career Event this spring. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:30pm. The Career Event brings together employers, graduate programs, and public service organizations. Students can learn about many career paths in one setting. They can also practice professional communication skills.

March Student of the Month Nominations Open
The Rosemont College March Student of the Month Award recognizes students for their outstanding contributions to our academic community. Nominations open March 1, 2026, and will be collected by Student Affairs through March 31, 2026. We encourage you to submit a nomination and help us celebrate the achievements of our students.
The Student of the Month for March will be announced on April 13, 2026.
Five Luminous Women of God
Campus Ministry proudly invites students, faculty, staff, and visitors to reflect on faith, justice, and leadership by visiting a special display honoring Five Luminous Women of God, from March 11 – 31, 2026, in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. The exhibit celebrates five courageous women on the road to sainthood.
This inspiring display honors Julia Greeley, Henriette Delille, Venerable Mary Lange, Thea Bowman, and Dorothy Day. Each woman demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of injustice. Taken together, their lives span more than 200 years, from 1784 to 1990. Pay a visit to the chapel to see portraits of these five extraordinary women and learn their stories.

This beloved tradition honors graduates celebrating the milestone of 50 years since their graduation. Student Work Group in Partnership with Villanova
Rosemont College proudly highlights the leadership of its Student Representatives, Madison Morton and Angelo Ciammetti. These two students serve on the Student Affairs Work Group in partnership with Villanova University. Together, they help Rosemont navigate the ongoing merger process with clarity and collaboration.

Annual Dennis Farm Forum
Rosemont College proudly highlights its recent engagement with The Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust and the historic Dennis Farm. On February 7, 2026 students and faculty attended the annual forum, Fostering racial understanding: It begins with each of us, at the Museum of the American Revolution. Members of the Rosemont College Black Student Union joined the experience.
SHCJ Monthly Meditation Open to All
Campus Ministry invites the Rosemont community to participate in a Monthly Meditation offered through the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. Each month, the Society shares a meditation video accompanied by reflection questions that help build a community of faith. This initiative strengthens the spiritual life of Rosemont College and deepens connections across campus.
