Honoring Black History Month: Dr. Gladys West
February is Black History Month. Celebrate Dr. Gladys West, an American mathematician whose groundbreaking work helped make GPS technology possible – guiding us every day here on Earth and even in space!
Campus Ministry will feature a person in the Black community with a slide on the tv screen in the lobby of the Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center each week this month.
January Student of the Month: Angelo Ciammetti
Angelo was voted Student of the Month for his outstanding leadership, service, and care for others across our college community. He selflessly volunteered six hours to represent us as our mascot at the Villanova game, leads and supports fellow students at events like career fairs and academic programs, and consistently steps up whenever help is needed. Angelo’s kindness, dedication, and enthusiasm make him a true leader and a valued asset to our campus.

Black Student Union Quilting Event
In celebration of Black History Month and in coordination with the Cultural Heritage Gallery, the Black Student Union is sponsoring, Quilting the Rosemont Witness Tree scheduled for February 11th at 12:00pm in Cardinal Dining Hall. Clean out your closet and bring your old clothes or any quilt squares you have! You don’t need to bring anything to participate – all are welcome!
Cultural Heritage Gallery Spring Events
We invite you to review and attend our engaging schedule of Cultural Heritage Gallery Spring Events continuing through May 1, 2026. The next event is in coordination with the Black Student Union, Quilting the Rosemont Witness Tree, scheduled for February 11th.
These programs highlight art, history, faith, and global traditions. Together, they reflect Rosemont’s commitment to cultural learning and community connection. The Cultural Heritage Gallery Spring Events welcome participation from campus and the broader public.

Spread the love this Valentine’s season at the Student Engagement Valentine Candy Buffet on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00am – 3:00pm in the Community Center. Grab a FREE bag to fill with your favorite sweets, create a special candy bag (with an optional $1 balloon) for someone dear – we’ll deliver it right to their door with a heartfelt note. Ramadan begins at sundown on Tuesday, February 17th. The holiest month of the Islamic calendar, it is a sacred time when 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide fast, pray, reflect and engage in charity. They fast daily from dawn until sunset to purify their hearts, develop self discipline, and empathize with those in need. We wish the members of our community who observe Ramadan a blessed season. Students who are observing Ramadan can see Darrell, Tao, Chef or Lisa in the dining hall to make arrangements for their meals. Explore more in the Cultural Heritage Gallery.

Alumni Career Connections Event: Interview Like a Pro
The Interview Like a Pro event, sponsored by Alummi Relations, will take place on February 25, 2026 at 4:00pm in the Kistler Library. Students from all majors are encouraged to attend. The session offers direct insight from a Rosemont alumna with extensive professional experience.
February Student of the Month Nominations Open
The Rosemont College February Student of the Month Award recognizes students for their outstanding contributions to our academic community. Nominations open February 1, 2026, and will be collected by Student Affairs through February 28, 2026. The Student of the Month for February will be announced on March 9, 2026.
We encourage you to submit a nomination and help us celebrate the achievements of our students.

Women in Glass Event: Saints of the Rosemont Chapel
All are welcome to join a riveting presentation by the Cultural Heritage Gallery. Watch the Women in Glass: Saints of the Rosemont Chapel live stream from Wednesday, January 28, at 4:30pm from the Chapel featuring moving music and song. Attendees will walk an illuminated path to Main Building for food, refreshments, and art depicting St. Brigid, followed by presentations on Rosemont’s architecture, history, and the stories behind the women who appear in the chapel’s stained glass.
