2026 Founders’ Week Schedule
Founders’ Week 2026 begins April 12th and celebrates the many men and women who shared their gifts and talents over these past 105 years to make Rosemont the College we know today. Throughout the week, the community will gather for meaningful events, engaging activities, and moments of reflection. In addition, participants will celebrate the legacy of those who helped shape the College’s identity.
“Witness Tree” Quilting Bee With BSU
All are welcome to join the Black Student Union on Monday, April 13th from 11:00am – 1:00pm in Cardinal Dining Hall in the Community Center to help them create a patchwork depicting the stories of our Rosemont Witness Trees for Founders’ Week. Witness Trees are living trees that have survived for decades or centuries, standing present during significant historical events. What stories could our Rosemont trees tell?
Photography Exhibit by Mark Campbell
Rosemont College continues to feature the photography exhibit by interdisciplinary artist Mark Campbell. The exhibition is on display in the Patricia Nugent Gallery through today, April 13th. The reception for the new exhibit, Senior BFA Exhibit 2026 will be Saturday, April 18th from 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Senior BFA Exhibit 2026: Phoenix Gruver & Tyrone Butler
Rosemont College is excited to announce the Senior BFA Exhibit by Student Exhibitors, opening April 18 – May 11, 2026, in the Patricia M Nugent Gallery. The Phoenix Gruver opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 12:00 – 2:00pm. The opening reception for Tyrone Butler’s work will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Both students defend their thesis in the gallery. Phoenix Gruver will present on Wednesday, April 22nd, at 11:00am, and Tyrone Butler will present on Wednesday, May 6th, at 11:00am.

Wellness Wednesday: Anxiety & Breathing
The Counseling Center is “A Place to be Seen, Heard, and Supported, is open Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 4:00pm. In honor of Wellness Wednesday, we share a weekly reflection with practical tools to support wellbeing and personal growth.

Montgomery County Roundtable at Rosemont
Rosemont Collge proudly hosted the Montgomery County Leadership Roundtable featuring college and university leaders from across the region to collaborate on student success, and workforce development. President Cawley, who was unable to attend due to a prior commitment commented, “It’s an honor to host such an important conversation at such a critical time in the changing cultural landscape of college, career and community impact.”

Campus Philly Career Event
Rosemont College encourages students to attend an upcoming Campus Philly Career Event this spring. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:30pm. The Career Event brings together employers, graduate programs, and public service organizations. Students can learn about many career paths in one setting. They can also practice professional communication skills.

The Counseling Center at Rosemont College launches an exciting four part career workshop series that equips all students with the tools they need for lasting professional success.

April Student of the Month Nominations Open
The Rosemont College Student of the Month Award recognizes students for their outstanding contributions to our academic community. April Nominations open April 1, 2026, and will be collected by Student Affairs through April 30, 2026. We encourage you to submit a nomination and help us celebrate the achievements of our students.
The April winner will be announced on May 11, 2026.

Herman Family Attends 2026 Garden Opening
The 2026 Patrick Herman Memorial Garden Opening brought the entire Rosemont community together in a beautiful celebration of remembrance, unity, and sustainability. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the Herman family gathered in strong numbers to officially open the Patrick Herman Memorial Garden.
The heartfelt ceremony reflected Patrick’s legacy and deep impact on campus life and his passion for gardening, community service, and caring for the Earth.
Alumni Achievement: Rev. Kathleen Murray
Rosemont College is proud to celebrate one of its own, as Reverend Kathleen Murray, Class of 1983, has been awarded a highly competitive Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Grant. This grant is one of only 200 given nationally each year. Learn all about her journey and deep Rosemont roots!

Alumni Achievement: Linda Romanowski
Linda graduated from Rosemont the first time in 1975. She returned to Rosemont for her MFA and turned her thesis into the multi award winning hybrid memoir Final Touchstones. She has been honored with the President’s Medal, two Bonnie Hilferty Awards, and has served on the Alumni Board (including as President during COVID) for nearly a decade and a half.
Linda’s story of impressive lifelong learning, deep service, and creative achievement is pure Rosemont pride. Read Linda Romanowski’s (’75) full alumni success story and be prepared to be inspired!
