Biography

Maria Seykora is a Philadelphia-area philosopher, educator, and athlete. 

Maria Seykora has been teaching at Rosemont College since the Fall of 2022. She has taught Business Ethics, Introduction to Philosophy, and Critical Thinking at the undergraduate level. 

As far as academic publications go, currently, Maria is in the process of co-authoring an ethics textbook with Frank Klose, Ph.D., a fellow Rosemont faculty member, and is also working on publishing a logic textbook. 

Additionally, Maria Seykora currently teaches philosophy at Immaculata University, including courses such as Introduction to Philosophy, Logic, and Global Economics and Environmental Ethics. She is also an avid athlete and runner. She is currently a runner for Philadelphia Runner Track Club’s Elite Team and has competed for Princeton’s Varsity XC and Track & Field and Villanova’s Varsity XC squads.  

Maria earned her Master of Arts degree in Classical Studies at Villanova University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Certificate of Proficiency in Italian Language and Culture at Princeton University, where she was a member of the Gamma Kappa Alpha Italian Honor Society.
