Biography
An award-winning faculty member, program leader, and instructor in the School of Graduate and Continuing Studies, Joan Wilder is skillful at creating, implementing, and managing policies.
Employed by Rosemont College since 2002, Ms. Wilder has served as an academic advisor, instructor, and most recently, Assistant Dean and Director of the Student Academic Success Center. Ms. Wilder retired from Rosemont after 16 years in 2018 but returned to the position of Academic Coach in 2022.
As an instructor, she’s taught classes in the Humanities, including Peoples and Cultures of Africa, Cultural Critique through Film, Intercultural Communications, and Critical Thinking and Writing. Before her work at Rosemont, Ms. Wilder worked for 14 years with the Please Touch Museum in Visitor Services and Operations.
