He graduated from West Virginia University with a BA in psychology and an MA in theology from Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology. He also earned a doctorate in systematic theology from Duquesne University. His scholarly interests are dedicated to the development of several key themes in fundamental theology, including Saint Thomas Aquinas’s doctrine of the natural knowledge of God, the origins of belief in the resurrection of Jesus, and interreligious dialogue. He is also interested in the feasibility of apokatastasis within Christianity and the relationship between psychology, spirituality, and religion.

Siniscalchi has also written dozens of book reviews and is the author of Retrieving Apologetics (2016, Pickwick).
