Main Building, Rathalla
Also known as Rathalla, named after the Gaelic phrase for “house on the hill,” this mansion stands as a testament to history and architecture since its establishment in 1891. Initially the residence of the Sinnott family, the mansion’s interior radiates a unique charm, ideal for intimate and memorable gatherings.
The sprawling limestone courtyard entrance leads to the solid wood double doors of this historic residence building. Upon entering, one is greeted by a three story foyer featuring a limestone fireplace, wood molding, and a Tiffany like glass ceiling. This impressive foyer naturally leads to the “Gilded age” grand staircase, which wraps around the 360 degree entry at the center of the main rooms. The generously sized Dining Room with turret space and seating is equally matched in size and shape to the adjoining and open Living Room space. Other surrounding rooms can be opened or closed to create additional intimate spaces or an open event and cocktail environment.
The mansion’s exterior is equally impressive, boasting a stone patio that embodies enduring sophistication. An equally remarkable round covered porch, with its circular configuration, serves as an eye catching centerpiece. It provides expansive views of the estate’s lush surroundings and is an inviting space for mingling, dining, or simply basking in the tranquil ambiance of the property.
Rathalla’s rich history and picturesque setting make it an ideal choice for those seeking a venue with unique character and elegant charm for their special events. Its distinctive appeal and sophisticated elegance are perfect for creating memorable moments. Whether for an exclusive wedding, wedding anniversary, sweet 16 or signature birthday party, bridal or baby shower, or any important gathering, Rathalla offers an ambiance of exclusivity and beauty.
