Biography
Dr. DeGeorge is a native Philadelphian who has returned after 28 years of living in Pittsburgh. While working towards his PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision he taught as an Adjunct Professor at Waynesburg University.Â
He has been a practicing clinician for almost 30 years and after closing his practice in the Pittsburgh region, has been working for Philadelphia Counseling Associates where he sees individuals, couples, and families in Center City Philadelphia. Dr. DeGeorge does weekly case consultations for therapists around the country and supervises licensed therapists. He is also the Director/Clinical Supervisor for the college counseling center. Â
Dr. DeGeorge adheres to a Constructivist Theory approach in his teaching and views the student/professor relationship as an engaging and active process. His philosophy is one as a servant/leader.Â
Doing what he can to provide for his student’s success while maintaining accountability for the course requirements on their journey of being a counselor.  Â

Surfing, Rowing, Rappelling, Faith & Family
Dr. DeGeorge is an avid surfer and has surfed waves off Manly Beach Australia, Huntington Beach California, and various beaches in New Jersey. He has also gone scuba-diving off the Great Barrier Reef. Dr. DeGeorge rows in quads and singles. Recently he rappelled down a 30-story building in Center City Philadelphia for a fundraiser for Outward Bound. He is a feracious reader and is passionate about his faith, wife, and having all 4 of their children off the payroll.
