Biography

Dr. H. David Chen has been teaching since 1979. He earned an MA and a PhD in Psychology from American University in Washington, DC. Before 1979, he was a certified counselor at National Youth Counseling Services in ROC.  In the early 1980s, he held the following positions:  Research Psychologist at the National Institute of Mental Health, Research Fellow at the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences, Assistant Professor in Psychology at Hunter College, City University of New York, and Guest Investigator on Alzheimer’s Disease at Rockefeller University in New York City.   

Since the late 1980s, Dr. Chen held various senior leadership positions at major pharmaceutical companies including Wyeth (Pfizer), Johnson & Johnson, Cephalon (Teva), and Bristol-Myers Squibb. While working in the private sector for the past 25 years, Dr. Chen has been an adjunct faculty teaching statistics, research methods, counseling psychology, educational, social, abnormal, and women’s psychology, marketing/marketing research, decision analytics, and leadership and problem-solving skills courses at Rosemont College, and nearby institutions in the areas of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing and Decision and System Science.
