Biography

Dr. Francis Klose, III first joined Rosemont College as an adjunct faculty member in the Fall of 2018. He came aboard full time in the Fall of 2019 in a one year temporary position and now serves as Humanities Division Chair and Assistant Professor of Theology and Religious Studies. 

Dr. Klose teaches a wide variety of courses in Theology and Religious Studies and beyond. While primarily teaching courses in Theology and Religious Studies, Dr. Klose also regularly teaches sports business and sports communication courses.  

Outside of the classroom, Dr. Klose is very active in the Rosemont College Campus Ministry, serving as the liturgical musician for all school liturgies. Dr. Klose also serves as the team chaplain to the Rosemont College softball team, while serving as PA announcer for home games. 

Dr. Klose is a member of the American Academy of Religion and the College Theology Society, frequently presenting papers on liturgy and music, as well as the intersection of sports and spirituality. Dr. Klose serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Religion and Sport.  

Outside of Rosemont College, Dr. Klose is director of music at St. James the Great Parish in Elkins Park, Pa. He is a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) and is an elected member of the National NPM Council. 

Since 2016, Dr. Klose has provided on-air and website content about the Philadelphia Phillies for 97.3 ESPN in South Jersey.
