Biography
April holds over 20 years of administration experience in Operations Management for the locally known Chilton Publishing Company, and Putman Media based out of Schaumburg, Illinois, in the areas of business to business trade magazines, consumer and professional automotive manuals, craft and hobby books, and marketing research. Aprilās passion for Organizational Development and Operations Management was fueled by her partnerships with advertisers, editors, and publishers, nationally and internationally, in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, finance, marketing, communication, advertising, and list rental.Ā
April came to Rosemont College in 2005 where she joined the staff of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS).Ā Her position later grew to include the Undergraduate College (UC).Ā As a student in SGPS, she received her bachelorās degree in business information technology in 2018. Her passion for working with people and the organizations they work for led her to complete a Masterās Degree in Counseling from Rosemont College in 2021. Her most recent work has been at Rosemont College as Assistant Director for Career Services where she enjoyed her work as a Career and Lifestyle Counselor to their students and alumni. April also teaches as an adjunct professor to first year students in both the UC and SGPS, writing and delivering workshops, lecturing as a special guest, and serving as co coordinator for Title IX. April will begin her second masterās degree, and MBA in Human Resource Management, this fall.Ā
April views her current position at Rosemont as Assistant Dean of Academic Operations as an alliance to support the academic administrative officesā processes and procedures where administration, faculty, and staff are supported in a holistic nature that encourages camaraderie and thoughtfully promotes positive change. Aprilās goal in this new role is to provide an environment where together we can explore primary needs and interests, develop goals, and determine strengths and assets as we move forward.Ā
