Commuter Students Welcome
Take advantage of Rosemont College’s convenient campus in the bucolic suburban Philadelphia setting on the Main Line. Rosemont College welcomes and encourages involvement in activities and the creation of long lasting connections and friendships, whether commuting or living on campus. Commuters are welcome to join any programs held in the residence halls, serve on the Commuter Student Committee, and hold leadership positions across campus. Commuter Lounge
Commuter students have access to a lounge on the lower level of the Gertrude Kistler Library. The lounge includes couches, tables, lockers (locks available at circulation), a charging station, TV, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, streaming services like Hulu & Kanopy, a refrigerator, and a free coffee & tea bar. Pop up events feature workshops on commuter resources and social gatherings. This space provides a comfortable, engaging, and fun environment to socialize, relax, hold club meetings, study groups, or do homework between classes.
Additionally, commuters can access various other spaces, including study areas in the Sharon Hirsch Community Center, the gym with state of the art equipment, the Raven’s Nest, and more!
SEPTA
SEPTA is a regional public transportation authority operating various services, including buses, subways, elevated rail, commuter rail, light rail, and electric trolleybuses. Commuting to Rosemont College is very convenient with SEPTA’s Rosemont Station on the Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail less than a half mile from campus. Trains run from 30th Street Station in Philadelphia every hour on weekdays and hourly on both Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, the Norristown High Speed Line is located just under a mile from campus.
Parking on Campus
Purchasing a parking permit is easy and affordable through the Office of Public Safety. All vehicles operated and parked on College property by full and part time students, faculty, and staff must be registered with Public Safety.
Commuter Meal Plans
Our commuter meal plans offer students an affordable alternative to off campus dining between classes and extracurricular activities. Flex dollars can be used in either Cardinal Dining Hall or The Ravens Nest. Speak to Admissions for the most updating pricing and commuter packages.
