Faith & Spirituality
As a Catholic institution guided by the principles of Venerable Cornelia Connelly and the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, Rosemont College is dedicated to developing the faith and spiritual lives of all students during their transformative college years. All programs focus specifically on community members and their unique needs.
Programming stems from the belief that faith and spirituality should be integral to daily living. Students have opportunities to gather in small groups, engage in one on one conversations, and participate in large group events. Each of these allows students to explore their faith, ask meaningful questions, and delve into their spiritual lives.
Day Long & Evening Retreats
Campus Ministry offers peer led retreats that allow students to reflect and grow together in their faith journeys. Each retreat has a unique focus and uses a variety of methods to create a safe space for reflection. A hiking retreat is offered in the fall. Retreats are open to all students. For more information, please contact [email protected].
Weekend Retreat
This annual retreat, offered each fall, is open to all students. Look for details and registration information for this special Rosemont tradition.
Worship & Prayer
Prayer and worship are integral to the Rosemont College experience. We celebrate Mass every Sunday in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at 4pm and on special days during the academic year. All students are welcome.
Liturgical Ministry
Liturgical Ministry is a beautiful way to involve yourself in the Mass. If you’d like to be a reader, an altar server, or a Eucharistic Minister, contact [email protected]
Rosemont Chapel Choir
Calling all musicians and singers! Share your gift of music with the Rosemont community. All skill levels are welcome. Contact the Director of Music Ministry, Dr. Frank Klose, at [email protected].
What If I’m Not Catholic?
Rosemont College welcomes people of all faiths and no faith traditions. Campus Ministry programs are open to all members of the Rosemont community and aim to support each individual’s faith journey and spiritual needs, regardless of their faith tradition. Campus Ministry coordinates weekend retreats, justice immersion experiences, faith sharing groups, and other events, allowing students to share their beliefs with one another. Our Campus Minister is here to accompany you on your journey, no matter your faith background. In addition to our Chapel, we have a non denominational prayer room located in the Library.

Service & Justice
Climate Justice
Rosemont College’s core values include care for the Earth as our common home. The College was an early signer of the Vatican’s Laudato Si’ Action Plan in 2021. Our Catholic Climate Covenant Committee focuses the College community on the goals in the plan.
Renewal of Pledges and Blessing of Animals
We observe Climate Sustainability Week each fall with opportunities to work for a sustainable world. The Rosemont College community gathers for prayer on October 4 to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis and to renew the St. Francis and Laudato Si’ pledges. We also bless our animals or their photos during this prayer. For more information, contact [email protected].
Ignatian Family Teach in
Each October, the Ignatian Solidarity Network hosts a two day conference in Washington, D.C., followed by a day of lobbying congressional representatives on justice issues of concern to students. Campus Ministry takes five students to this annual event where they join over 2,000 students to learn about and advocate for justice issues. Details, including cost, application, and more, will be available through the blog. For further questions, please contact [email protected].
Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week
Started in 1975 by Augustinian priest Ray Jackson and a group of Villanova students, Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is observed on over 700 campuses nationwide. Its pillars are education, advocacy, and service. Campus Ministry, in collaboration with our Career and Counseling Centers, Student Engagement, and student volunteers, offers information on key issues and advocacy and service opportunities to all members of the campus community.
Bimonthly Service
Campus Ministry offers bimonthly off campus service opportunities. These include Face to Face Germantown, St. Francis Inn Kitchen & Food Service, MANNA, Stoneleigh Natural Gardens, and more. Details for each service opportunity, including cost and application information, will be available through the blog. For further inquiries, please contact [email protected].
MLK Day of Service
Campus Ministry celebrates the legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by providing an opportunity for the Rosemont community to join in service to those in need on the national holiday in January. The day begins with an educational component and is followed by several hours of service at a local non profit organization. Watch for details. For further information, please contact [email protected].
Food Pantry
The Rosemont College Food Pantry provides assistance to community members experiencing food insecurity. The pantry contains non perishable food items and basic hygiene supplies. It is located in the lower level of the chapel building and is open from 6am – 9pm daily, and from 12pm – 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Rosemont Ravens Team Chaplain Program
This program, a collaborative effort between Campus Ministry and Rosemont’s Athletic Program, supports student athletes on and off the field. Chaplains, who are faculty and staff, attend games and practices and serve in other ways as resources for our athletes. They work to foster a mission centered community within the athletic program.
