The Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art & Interactive Graphic Design educates and trains prospective artists and designers. Curricular options include an emphasis in studio art or interactive design, as well as PK-12 art teacher certification. These programs are designed to provide an informed understanding of art and design and prepare students for professional careers in these areas.

- Interactive Graphic Design Track Students in this track will build a portfolio to enter the job market as a graphic designer. Students will gain a working knowledge of the industry’s most widely used software and applications as well as skills that are vital to success in this dynamic industry, including learning the Adobe Creative Suite, courses in graphic and web design, animation, digital photography, typography, and more.
- Studio Art Track Being a successful artist takes more than talent. A thorough understanding of various media adds value to your professional brand, and this concentration will introduce you to a wide range of artistic methods—from drawing and painting to printmaking and graphic and web design. In the process, you’ll learn how to critically evaluate your work as well as others’, and how to take advantage of the many career possibilities available in the arts.

If you’re excited about instilling a lifelong love of learning AND art in the next generation, then becoming an art teacher can be a fulfilling career. To achieve this, you will undergo training as both an artist and educator, acquiring in depth knowledge of the fine arts and classroom management tools you’ll need to effectively teach and inspire your students.

Choose from a wide variety of minors to complement your undergraduate degree. If you wish to learn about a completely different subject, would like to determine your career path or wish to complement your degree, Rosemont College has a diverse array of minor studies to choose from.
