Psychology Minor Requirements
The Undergraduate College: Traditional, On Campus
The Undergraduate College Psychology program offers a minor that requires 21 credits (7 courses) available with the Major of your choice:
Minor Courses: 6 credits (2 courses).
Minor Elective Courses: 15 credits (5 courses) MUST be at or above the 200 Level.
Under certain conditions, a student may have a minor field designated on their Rosemont transcript. Candidates for the minor must select 21-24 credits above the introductory level in a discipline. These courses are chosen from the Academic Offerings section of the catalog for approved minors. A minimum grade point average of 2.00 in the minor is required. Discuss with your advisor.
Psychology Minor Courses (6 Credits)
PSY 0100: Basic Concepts in Psychology
Prerequisite: None
This course is a prerequisite for all psychology courses.  An introductory course designed to make students aware of the diversity of the field of Psychology and the ways in which human behavior can be studied. Goals, methods, and applications of the science of psychology in learning, language, thinking, perception, and the emotions are investigated.Â
Offered fall/spring semester. (3 Credits)
PSY 0200: Developmental Psychology
Prerequisite: PSY 0100
A study of the development of the individual from infancy to old age with special emphasis on childhood.Â
