This concentration helps you do just that, as you immerse yourself in society’s most pivotal works of literature. Courses prompt students to explore and understand the complex relationships among language and knowledge, writing and power, and academia and popular culture. 
  • Writing Pathway: Being able to effectively create a variety of content can lead to countless professional possibilities, be it an author, journalist, public relations specialist, or other roles in the publishing field. In this concentration, students acquire a strong foundation in creative writing—including fiction & nonfiction, poetry, and playwriting—and media focused skills including magazine writing, documentary filmmaking, journalism, and publication design.
