The Rosemont community is deeply saddened by the passing of Chris High on March 18, 2026. As we come together to honor his extraordinary life, we celebrate the legacy of Chris High, a devoted husband, father, police officer, and scholar who embodied service, resilience, and compassion.
His loss leaves a profound void, but his example of selfless commitment continues to inspire everyone who knew him.
A Life of Service & Dedication
For 23 years, Chris High served with distinction as a Corporal with the Amity Township Police Department. He protected and cared for his community every single day, putting the safety of others before his own. His badge wasn’t just a job; it was a calling that defined a life spent in service.
Academic Excellence at Rosemont
At the same time, Chris High pursued academic excellence at Rosemont College. He recently completed his Master’s Degree in Homeland Security, earning a 4.0 GPA while balancing the demands of full time police work, caring for his wife when she was ill, and raising his children. Chris planned to walk in the May Commencement ceremony.
That level of dedication speaks volumes about the kind of man he was, someone who never stopped learning, never stopped growing, and never stopped showing up for the people he loved. Completing a rigorous graduate program twice ranked as in the top 5 in the nation under such circumstances is a remarkable achievement that reflects his discipline, intellect, and deep commitment to making a difference.
Chris High’s Enduring Legacy
What made Chris High truly special was the way he lived every role with the same quiet grace. He was a loving husband and father who prioritized family even while wearing the uniform and completing his studies.
Rosemont College extends our deepest thoughts and prayers to Chris’s wife, children, extended family, friends, and all who served alongside him. Your loss is shared by the entire Rosemont family, and we stand ready to support you in any way we can.
