Rosemont College continues to invest in student well being and academic growth. These October Student Affairs and Residence Life updates introduce key services that are helping students stay focused, supported, and prepared for the future.
Career Services Center
Students now have access to the Career Services Center, which recently opened in the Student Life Suite at the Sharon Hirsh Community Center. This new location provides convenient access to personalized career support and guidance.
Contact Darren Manley at [email protected] or [email protected] for more information.
CARES Program
In addition to career support, Rosemont College promotes student wellness through the CARES program. CARES stands for Concern, Assess, Refer, and Educate for Success, and it focuses on addressing student needs before challenges interfere with academic or personal success.
Faculty, staff, and students can submit a CARES referral when they notice someone struggling. This may include disruptive behavior, emotional distress, sudden academic decline, or safety concerns. The CARES Core Team meets weekly to review referrals and assigns a case manager who reaches out to the student directly. That case manager works with the student to connect them with campus and community resources.
CARES is not discipline or academic alert. Unlike disciplinary systems, CARES exists to support students and connect students with resources they need before issues escalate. It allows the college community to respond quickly and compassionately to student concerns.
CARES ensures students get timely help and stay on track for success. To submit a referral, complete the online CARES Referral Form. For immediate safety concerns, contact Public Safety at 610.527.1038.
Moving Forward Together
These October Student Affairs and Residence Life updates reflect Rosemont’s strong commitment to its students. With the Career Center guiding professional development and CARES offering timely personal support, every student has the tools to succeed.
Furthermore, Rosemont encourages students to engage with these services and take full advantage of the resources available. Staying informed, asking for help, and planning ahead are all essential steps in building a successful college experience.
