Holy Week – Happy Easter!
Yesterday, Palm Sunday, began Holy Week, the most solemn week of the year for Christians around the world. The week began with a remembrance of Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem with crowds waving palm branches. We have blessed palm branches in vases in our chapel and in the Community Center lobby. Please take a piece if you would like.
Lent ends on Thursday evening when the Mass of the Last Supper and the Triduum begin. We commemorate Jesus’ death on Good Friday, his time in the tomb on Holy Saturday and celebrate his rising to new life on Easter Sunday. We begin the Easter season on 50 days. And we join many other colleges and universities in celebrating an age old European custom of a holiday on Easter Monday!
Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month. Campus Ministry will feature a slide on the tv screen in the lobby of the Sharon Latchaw Hirsh Community Center each week this month. Explore more in the Cultural Heritage Gallery.
