Foundersā Week
Thank you to all who helped to make Foundersā Week so special. The symbols of Rosemont founders over the years will be on a table in the chapel until the end of this week. Be sure to stop in to see these items that were part of our Foundersā Day Mass. You can also read the Call to Prayer that our President made at the beginning of Mass.
Call To Worship April 15, 2026
Good afternoon. Welcome one and all to this Foundersā Week liturgy.
We have much to celebrate as we gather in this sacred space. Our chapel was dedicated 85 years ago by Denis Cardinal Dougherty.
We celebrate another milestone today in the 100th anniversary of Kistler Memorial Library.
And we pay tribute to our most recent founders ā Rosemontās first ever baseball team and coach on their way to a game right now.
During the Offertory Procession several members of our community will carry symbols of our founders over the years along with the bread and wine.
In a few minutes weāll celebrate the Eucharist ā our great act of Thanksgiving to our God who cares for us more than we can imagine.
We thank our God
forĀ Rosemontās Holy Child sisters, those dreamers and early founders who began the journey we continue today.
for the men and women who followed them and shared their unique gifts.
for all of us here today who continue Rosemontās mission in our unique time.
And for our much loved facilities staff member Brad Mason and for our Graduate of the Class of 2026, Cpl. Christopher High. Both men were called home to God within the past several months.
Todayās first reading is a striking reminder of Godās power in the worst of circumstances. Letās listen to the readings attentively; they are Godās message to each of us this afternoon.
Please stand, welcome back Fr. Dan Joyce from St. Joeās University and join in singing our entrance hymn Jesus Christ is Risen Today.
