Join us on Monday, March 31, 2025
Rosemont College is proud to partner with the American Red Cross to host a community Blood Drive on March 31 from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This semester, we are aiming to collect at least 20 units of blood to support hospitals and patients nationwide.
Why Your Donation Matters
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Donating blood can save lives, providing critical care for patients undergoing surgery, battling cancer, or recovering from accidents. Last semester, our Blood Drive fell just short of the 20 unit goal due to donor ineligibility. To help meet the goal this semester, the Red Cross has added more appointment slots, giving more people the opportunity to contribute.
If you are an eligible type O, B – or A – donor, consider making a Power Red donation. Red blood cells are the most commonly transfused blood component.
How to Participate
We encourage all eligible donors to sign up in advance.
You can also call 1.800.RED CROSS (1.800.733.2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: Rosemont College to schedule an appointment.
Streamline your donation experience and save up to 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete your pre donation reading and health history questions on the day of your appointment.
As a token of appreciation, all attendees who keep their appointment will receive a $10 gift card. Additionally, those who successfully donate will be offered a free A1C test, an important screening for diabetes and overall health monitoring.
What to Expect
Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to give back. The process typically takes about an hour, including registration, a brief health screening, the donation itself, and a short recovery period with refreshments. Red Cross staff will be on hand to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for every donor.
Join Us in Making a Difference
We invite students, faculty, staff, and community members to be part of this vital effort. Your donation could be the difference between life and death for someone in need. Mark your calendar for March 31 and help us reach our goal to make a meaningful impact.
Thank you for your generosity and commitment to saving lives!
