Rosemont College successfully kicked off the new academic year with a fun and energetic Welcome Back Block Party held on Friday, August 28, 2026.
From 11:00am to 2:00pm, students, faculty, staff, and friends gathered on Connelly Green for an afternoon of food, music, games, and connection.
Guests enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the afternoon. Interactive games, including axe throwing, drew plenty of participants and added an exciting competitive element to the day. In addition, an ice cream truck provided a refreshing treat that was especially popular under the late summer sun.
Building Community at the Start of the Year
The Welcome Back Block Party offered more than entertainment. It provided an important opportunity for the campus community to come together before the semester fully settled into its routine. Moments of shared laughter, friendly competition, and casual conversation helped strengthen connections among students, faculty, and staff.
Rosemont College High Impact Fridays
Rosemont College launched "High Impact Fridays" in Fall of 2026. It is a voluntary initiative offering diverse experiential learning opportunities outside the traditional classroom. Each week features unique activities designed to foster personal growth, career development, and community connection. Ultimately, the program enriches the Student Life experience by connecting academic concepts with real-world practice and preparing graduates for leadership and rewarding careers. Examples include the American Revolution Museum, the Doylestown Cultural District and the 9/11 Memorial at the McKaig Nature Center.
