An Invitation to Explore the Stories That Shape Us
Rosemont College will host Beyond the Veil: Writing the Ghosts That Haunt Us with Jennifer Rieger on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00am to 3:00pm in the Community Center Board Room. Lunch will be provided for all participants. This noncredit course is part of Rosemontās Writerās Studio Workshops and Masterclasses Fall 2025 Series.
This engaging memoir masterclass invites participants to explore the memories and emotions that linger beneath the surface of everyday life. Through guided writing exercises and mentor texts, attendees will examine the āghostsā that influence identity, creativity, and storytelling. By the end of the session, participants will understand how these experiences shape personal narratives and inspire authentic expression.
A Creative Journey of Reflection & Expression
In Beyond the Veil, Jennifer Rieger will guide writers through a thoughtful process of reflection and discovery. Participants will use journaling and short exercises to transform experiences of loss, nostalgia, and change into prose or poetry. The workshop encourages each person to face their own āghostsā and transform emotional truths into meaningful writing.
This masterclass welcomes writers at every stage. Whether someone is beginning to write or looking to refine their craft, they will find inspiration and practical tools. Participants will leave with new confidence in their creative process and a deeper connection to their stories.
