Rosemont College’s Writer’s Studio Summer Retreat is honored to welcome award-winning poet, essayist, and literary critic Bethany White for a powerful weeklong workshop. The Bethany White hybrid poetry and CNF workshop, titled Excavating Meaning from the Mundane, will take place from July 12–17, 2026.
This generative workshop offers writers a unique opportunity to transform everyday experiences into compelling literary work.
What to Expect in the Bethany White Workshop
In this immersive workshop, participants will learn how to identify significant life moments that often go unnoticed. Moreover, they will discover how to excavate these moments and weave them into meaningful narratives. The workshop blends poetry and creative nonfiction (CNF), encouraging writers to explore hybrid forms.
Through thoughtful prompts, discussion, and revision strategies, attendees will gain tools to turn personal experiences into resonant, impactful writing. Whether you are a poet or hybrid writer, this week promises to deepen your creative practice and help you find fresh inspiration in ordinary life.
