A Note From the Alumni Association Board President:

To all my fellow Alumnae,

Wow, did summer fly by!  August is almost over with the school year beginning as I write this! Hoping that you enjoyed Summer 2025 with family and friends which hopefully, included your Rosemont classmates. I reconnected with one of mine after 40 years over dinner with our spouses.  It was as if no time had passed; we picked up from where we left off.  I was thinking that this is clearly a trait that typifies all of us as Rosemont.

Alum! We loved each other at Rosemont and that love continues throughout our lives!

Perhaps Cornelia Connelly has been an inspiration to us all!

My service as President of the Alumni Association has come at a time of great change for the College and for all of us as we view the merger with Villanova in our future. Given that the merger will not be officially completed until July 2028 we have the future of the current students in our hands.  They have committed to a Rosemont education which should be applauded.

Elections

In the interest of maintaining continuity until the completed merger, we have decided not to hold elections for new directors on the Alumni Board. I thought it important that our board stay intact for purposes of unity, direction and continued purpose. An amendment was voted on and accepted by the current board to confirm this action through 2026.

As we wind our way to Fall, I look forward to my 50th reunion which will take place on campus from October 3rd – 5th. I encourage all of you with reunion years in 2025 to attend and enjoy your love of Rosemont and of your fellow classmates!
