A proud member of the Class of 2025 and former Ravens baseball player, Giuseppe recently took a major step forward in his healthcare journey at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University.
A Meaningful Milestone: The White Coat Ceremony
Giuseppe Bentrovato had a wonderful time at the white coat ceremony recently held at Drexel University. The white coat is a powerful symbol in healthcare. Moreover, it represents readiness to begin seeing patients in the clinic and the important responsibilities that come with being a healthcare professional.
This ceremony marks the official transition into clinical training and is the first of many important steps toward earning his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. Giuseppe shared his excitement about what lies ahead, and we couldn’t be prouder to see him thriving in such a rewarding field.
From Rosemont Campus to Professional Success
At Rosemont, Giuseppe Bentrovato was known not only for his contributions on the baseball diamond but also for his dedication in the classroom, where he earned a BA in Biology. His time as a Raven helped shape the discipline, teamwork, and resilience he now brings to his optometry studies.

Rosemont has achieved a 100 percent acceptance rate for qualified science students into medical or osteopathic schools for nearly a decade. This success reflects the leadership and dedication of Associate Professor of Biology and Department Chair Dr. Skokotas, who specializes in Cell and Molecular Genetics.
