Writing Studies Degree Requirements

Finish Rosemont's Accelerated Adult Undergraduate program in Applied Psychology quickly by taking advantage of our generous transfer credit policy. We also give credit for Prior Learning Assessments (life experience). The program is facilitated in a seven week delivery model.

The BA in Writing Studies consists of 120 total credits as outlined below:

  • Required Writing “Core” Courses (7 courses) - 21 credits
  • Required Literature Courses (3 courses)* - 9 credits
  • Elective Courses in Writing (4 courses) - 12 credits
  • Elective Course in Literature (1 course) - 3 credits

Total Credits for Major: 45 credits

*Required Literature courses are World Literature Before 1945, World Literature After 1945, + your choice of one other Literature elective.

Required General Education Curriculum Courses -  51 credits (see Appendix D)

General Elective in or outside the discipline -  24 credits

Total Credits for Degree: 120

(A maximum of 9 credits (3 courses) may be used to complete both the General Education and major requirements.)
