Double Degree Option

Earn Your MFA in Creative Writing and MA in Publishing

More information, more training, more contacts, less time--earn two degrees in only three years. The MFA in Creative Writing and MA in Publishing Double Degree program offers students the best of both programs in a compressed time.

Students who complete Rosemont's Double Degree program graduate with a full-length creative work for their MFA and a thesis or capstone project for their MA. The projects often support each other.

Double Degree students still have the opportunity to intern, and students with the Double Degree have more opportunities to write, publish, and teach. Contact Teresa Fitzpatrick for information on how to apply for this special option.

Double Degree Requirements

MFA in Creative Writing courses (21 Credits)

  • Four writing workshop courses
  • Three literature courses

MA in Publishing courses (21 Credits)

Electives (12 Credits)

  • Two courses from each program

Double Thesis (6 Credits)

  • GPP 7500 Thesis/Capstone
  • CRW 7500 Thesis
